These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Veteran Benefits Brief website, lead forms, and educational consultation services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About us
Veteran Benefits Brief is an independent insurance information service that connects members of the military community with Ian Davis, an independent licensed insurance broker, for educational consultations about coverage options.
We are not an insurance company. We do not underwrite, issue, or sell insurance policies. Any insurance products discussed during your consultation are underwritten by independent insurance carriers, not by Veteran Benefits Brief or by the U.S. government.
2. Non-affiliation with the government and with Facebook
Veteran Benefits Brief is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the U.S. Department of Defense, any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, or any other federal, state, or local government agency. Ian Davis does not represent any government program.
This site is not part of the Facebook website or Meta Platforms, Inc. It is not endorsed by Facebook in any way. Facebook is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.
3. Educational purpose only
Content on this site and information shared during a consultation is for general educational purposes. It is not legal advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to purchase any specific product. You should consult appropriate professionals before making financial or insurance decisions.
Submitting your information or booking a call does not constitute an application for insurance coverage. Eligibility, terms, and pricing for any coverage are determined by the underwriting insurance carrier, not by us.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.
5. Accuracy of information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when submitting a lead form or scheduling a call. You agree that any information you submit about yourself is your own and may be lawfully shared with us and with Ian Davis for the purpose of providing a consultation.
6. Communications consent
By submitting your contact information, you consent to be contacted by Veteran Benefits Brief and Ian Davis by phone, SMS, or email regarding coverage options, including by automated dialing systems or pre-recorded voice messages, in accordance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and our Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You may opt out at any time.
7. Intellectual property
All content on this site (text, graphics, logos, layouts, and design) is the property of Veteran Benefits Brief or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any portion of the site without our prior written consent.
8. Third-party services
This site uses third-party services including Calendly for scheduling, Meta (Facebook) for advertising and analytics, and standard web hosting. Use of those services is governed by the respective providers' terms and privacy policies.
9. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veteran Benefits Brief and Ian Davis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Veteran Benefits Brief, Ian Davis, and their respective affiliates from any claims, losses, liabilities, expenses, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tarrant County, Texas.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
